About Lisa Coombes
Lisa lives in the southwest, where her time is spent enjoying outdoor life to the fullest. She especially loves walking around the moors and the coastline.
When she’s not exploring the local countryside, you can find her exploring the local music scene, at the local theatres, volunteering with a local support group, or gaming with friends.
Experience
Lisa joined Kaplan in 2019, after just over 15 years working in psychometrics.
Having started out as an Assessment Analyst and Psychometrician, she moved through the ranks to become a Senior Psychometrician, a lecturer in psychometrics, and, eventually, Director of Assessment at a Russell Group university.
Lisa’s passion for developing and delivering new programmes of assessment meant that she could not pass up the opportunity to join Kaplan as part of the team working to deliver SQE.
Qualifications
Lisa holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Plymouth, where she also went on to complete a PhD in pattern recognition.
A significant achievement is her development of analytical and statistical programming skills, which have formed the basis for her psychometric work.
Lisa has since earned multiple postgraduate certificates and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
